How I Became a Pirate, to be performed at libraries, schools and community centers for 2,200 children and their families and teachers who do not have access to live theater performances. |
Arts First Oakland |
Singing For Your Life is a year-long project led by Oakland based vocal band SoVoSo that includes a 12 hour year-end singing event, a series of monthly singing workshops and a choir performing with SoVoSo at their annual Yoshi's Jazz House Winter Holiday Concert. |
Asian Community Mental Health Services |
Building resiliency among low-income API youth by empowering them to improve their schools and communities via community organizing through the immersion of arts education programming. |
California Chinese Orchestra |
An annual concert at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center in January 2009 for 250 people with the 50 students from the music education program. |
