What's New!

Oakland Partnership

On June 26, 2008 arts leaders convened at the Oakland Museum of California to hear a presentation on a proposed campaign to market Oakland as a regional multicultural arts destination. Local artists were featured on the program, including spoken word artist Ise Lyfe, African Queens Youth Performance Ensemble, Asian Youth Services Committee lion dancers, and youth marimba and jazz ensembles from the Oakland Public Conservatory of Music. Paintings and mixed media works from the Pro Arts youth academy, Joyce Gordon Gallery and local artist Rita Sklar were also displayed. Click here to view the presentation.
