A “Partnership in the Arts” collaboration led to the establishment of the City of Oakland/State of California Craft and Cultural Arts Gallery, located in the State Office Building Atrium. The gallery space is approximately 29’ X 51’ X 15’ with high walls, enabling several internationally-recognized local artists to exhibit large-scale works, while exposing the public to high-caliber fine art and sculpture in a public setting.
